Shivaji told India Abroad he intended to proceed with his plaint, and was merely waiting for AAPI's official response to his complaint. He said several members of the AAPI leadership were responsive to his plaint."Even Sarala Rao,the new chairman of the board of trustees, said I won legally and squarely and I should be the president-elect.So there is so much dissent in the AAPI leadership itself and that's why I am going ahead with the case."

Shivaji said the geneal body meeting, where Balasubramanium was certified by a thin margin, was a farce."This vote was a mockery because such votingor certification is not required under the bylaws once the election results are complete."
